To fully enjoy a beer, the right temperature is of the essence. The unique, custom-made Grolsch Swing-top Bottle Refrigerator is designed to serve swing-top bottles exactly as they should be: cold. The fridge is small enough to be placed next to the couch, but big enough to supply several soccer enthusiasts with enough beer for the whole match. This way, the Dutch soccer fans don’t have to miss a single minute of the European Championship matches, and there is always cold beer within reach!

 

Consumers can take part in the promotion by buying an action crate (Premium Pilsner or 0.0%) or an action six-pack and filling in the unique code on https://www.grolsch.nl/ek. They will then immediately see whether they have won. The promotion runs from May 10th to June 14th. As of May 24 it will possible to fill in the action codes online. A total of 504 refrigerators will be given away; one every hour for 21 days! Multiple entries are allowed, but each code can only be used once. 

 

A noticeable feature of the Swing-top Bottle Refrigerator is its color. It is not orange, but 'simply' black and green. Grolsch has deliberately chosen to steer clear of orange-colored gadgets and instead offer something that will benefit beer and soccer fans throughout the entire year. The refrigerator combines two of the most important needs during the European Football Championship: not having to miss a single minute of a match, and always having a cold beer within reach. 

 

As it turns out, the swing-top bottles are not merely good for storing and drinking beer. The gentlemen of the band Oud Schuim, known for the single 'Sorry voor de Liefde' among other songs, know how to combine music and beer like no other. Together they ‘plop’ some of the greatest hits on Grolsch beer bottles, and in honor of the European Championship they’ve created a very special musical ode: the Plop Wilhelmus!
