Royal Grolsch introduces Dunkel Weizenbock

After the award-winning introduction of Herfstbier 0.0% last year, Grolsch adds another beer to its autumn beer range: Grolsch Dunkel Weizenbock. This amber-colored wheat beer is now available in the brown swing-top bottle. As market leader in the autumn beer segment, Grolsch has built up a wide range of autumn beers in response to the popularity of autumn beers.

Grolsch Weizenbock (7.3%) is characterized by its fresh Weizen aromas that are complemented by notes of caramel and roasted malt. "For the Dunkel Weizenbock I have completely focused on wheat malt", says master brewer Marc Janssen, "by using more than 50% wheat malt, a Weizen gets that recognizable creaminess and fresh aromas. This creates a full-bodied taste with a creamy aftertaste, thus bringing together the best of Weizen and Herfstbok'. The new beer is sold in the recognizable brown swing-top bottle.

Best rated Grolsch beer
Grolsch Weizenbock was introduced last year in the Grolsch Proeverij cafés and in a very limited edition at Jumbo. Because the beer combines two beer styles, Weizen and Herfstbok, it appeals to a large group of consumers. The fact that the new beer was well received is evidenced by the fact that Weizenbock is the best rated Grolsch beer on Untappd.

Large autumn beer assortment
This autumn beer season, the Grolsch Dunkel Weizenbock will join Grolsch's collection of autumn beers, which consists of Grolsch Rijke Herfstbok, Gerijpte Herfstbok and the Herfstbier 0.0%. Since its introduction last year, the latter has been awarded a Wheel of Retail, a Wheel of Innovation and a Foodaward for best introduction, awards that show the appreciation of both customer and consumer.

Availability
Grolsch Dunkel Weizenbock will be available from this week onwards at supermarkets, liquor stores and various Grolsch cafés throughout the country.
