Working at Grolsch means working at a company that brews, packages and sells beer. To do this as well as possible, we work closely together with different disciplines. Within the walls of Grolsch, there are various professions: from operator to brand manager, from analyst to driver and from account manager to HR assistant.
Although we work with specialists in any field, we consider it important to look beyond your own area. The emphasis therefore is on exchanging knowledge between colleagues. In this way we can strengthen and learn from one another. Only then can we brew, pack and sell the best beer!
Our Marketing department develops the brand strategy of the various beers in our portfolio. The aim is to build brand preference in the "heads and hearts" of consumers, with the aim of revenue growth and a growing market share in both retail and catering. The department looks into the behavior of the consumer and tries to respond as well as possible. Developing promotional materials, activating products on the shop floor and designing the right packages for our products are also the responsibility of our marketing colleagues.

The Sales department focuses on profitable sales of our beers to supermarkets, liquor stores, catering and wholesalers. This involves the correct translation of our brand strategy and forming, maintaining and expanding commercial relationships with customers. In concert with our customers, attractive actions are being set up and implemented to stimulate the sale of beers. This way, our Sales department operates daily to increase our market share and to achieve higher revenue and profit.

Finance & Commercial Services
It is very important that our cash flows are properly mapped and maintained. This happens in the Finance department. Our Finance colleagues deal with debtors and creditors management, providing financial management information, monitoring our budgets, investment research and risk management. In addition, it should also provide financial support, support and coordination of commercial activities to the activities of the Finance department. Finance also includes the IT and Legal department.

The staff departments provide support to the commercial departments on various fronts. The HR department is dedicated to attracting and developing the best people in the right position. Facilities is responsible for delivering all goods, tools and services to form an appropriate workplace for all employees; from audiovisual equipment, catering to printing, copying and telephone exchange activities. The Corporate Affairs department focuses on protecting and strengthening Grolsch's reputation in the Netherlands by proactively working on reputation management, sustainable and responsible business and communication. Our business strategy and development colleagues, based on market research and analysis, provide insight into, among other things, market developments, consumer, price and promotion.

Our colleagues working in production are engaged in the actual brewing, filling and packaging of our beers. Despite all the high-tech, beer brewing still requires human activity. Our brewers get the best out of the ingredients with passion and craftsmanship and watch out for the brewing process every day. In our own laboratory we test the composition and quality. Continuous quality checks ensure that Grolsch's taste remains as you are used to.

We do not only have a personal view of the way we brew Grolsch, but also the way we pack it: sustainable and responsible, maximally environmentally aware. To this end, we continuously develop new techniques to save materials, glass, raw materials, water and energy. The result? The best beer in the best bottle!

The warehouse is responsible for the complete loading process of our domestic and foreign export market. State of the art logistics processes ensure optimum storage and reception of all empty and full wells and deployment of packaging towards production.

The engineering department provides specialist knowledge and support in continuously improving the various production processes and carrying out (strategic) projects. Management and optimization of production automation is one of the four core activities. The asset care specialists determine the maintenance strategy and implement the related plans together with the production departments. Sustainable Corporate Responsibility, reducing water, energy and CO2 is one of the core activities of the department, as well as producing all utilities (water, steam, etc.) needed to brew and fill beer.

The Supply Chain Planning department is responsible for translating the commercial volume plan into an efficient production plan with the aim of providing maximum service to our customers at minimal operating costs. The Finance department provides financial analyzes and supports decisions in line. Finally, the Manufacturing Development department is working continuously to improve our way of working and, consequently, performance based on World Class Manufacturing (Lean) principles.

At Grolsch we do not only brew beer, we also ensure that our beer is in good condition and of excellent quality to all our customers. Our logistic people are involved in organizing, planning, managing and executing our goods flow. In addition, we always search for the right balance between optimal customer service and, on the other hand, keeping our costs as low as possible.

In order to serve our customers as efficiently as possible, it is important to make our processes as efficient as possible. To this end, there are various disciplines within the beverage trade that take care of the day to optimize and support daily business. Among others, the staff departments are Finance, HR, Stock Management, Category Management and Trade Marketing. Within a staff department you are mostly customer oriented. You can listen well to the wishes of the organization and translate it into the right product or the right service. You understand the world in which De Klok Dranken and its employees operate and proactively play in it.
